North Shore Community Health Board

The North Shore Area Community Health Board (CHB) is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to be the “eyes and ears” of residents in the area concerning topics of health and wellness. In more detail, the CHB tries to improve the health and wellness of people in our North Shore communities through the collection of information on health needs and services, participation in wellness planning, identification of factors that influence wellness, and education about available health services. The CHB develops plans to bring improvements in services and activities, and each year provides funding to local activities through Wellness Fund grants. A new service directory was developed in the spring of 2008 to provide information on services available locally.
